Comparison shopping engines (CSEs) are scrambling to innovate after Google Shopping switched to a paid shopping engine. Product Listing Ads now eats up previously held text-ad spots on Google that CSEs used to battle for.

It’s crunch time for these websites to compete with the ever growing power of Amazon and Google, so expect to hear more CSE changes in the near future.
