Main takeaways for retailers:
These are important particularly for apparel and general supplies retailers:
- Have product listings optimized (SEO descriptions, clear images, etc.) by July (or August at the latest)
- Increase bids for back-to-school shopping product categories from July to September (highest in August)
- Make sure your back-to-school promotions are live on CSEs BEFORE they start (it typically takes a couple days to a week to get it live, depending on the CSE)
- Offer free shipping; Easier said than done, but work this feature into your promotions or prepare to offer it in just August
