According to Brandfog’s 2014 Global Social CEO Survey, three quarters of global CEOs feel that executives using social media are more trustworthy than those that do not. Ironically, a recent infographic from DOMO and CEO.com found that they don’t hold themselves to their own standard.
Check out the infographic below to learn about how CEOs lead their companies with social:
Here are some interesting notes about CEOs on Social:
- 68% of CEOs do not have any social media presence
- Among the CEOs that are on social media, over two thirds only use a single platform
- Only 8.3% of CEOs have a Facebook account
While most CEOs lack a presence on social media, others utilize it very effectively. The average CEO with a Twitter account has their top tweet retweeted 1,340 times, which demonstrates the authority they can convey on social media.
As with most marketers and agencies, the number of CEOs using social media is growing. How CEOs leverage social to the highest benefit remains to be seen, but Global CEOs will need to make social a greater priority in 2015.
