Facebook Canvas Ads are an immersive mobile experience on Facebook for businesses to tell their stories and showcase their products.
Basically, this is as interactive as it gets in the Facebook advertising world, allowing customers to get up close and personal with your images and products by tilting, swiping, zooming and more—all with just their fingertips.

But even with the creative flexibility, many advertisers avoided testing with Canvas ads because of the content uploading process.
Thanks to a recent update, Facebook Canvas Ads are now easier than ever before to create.
As seen in the image below (Adweek), once a URL is entered (during the process of creating a Canvas ad), Facebook will automatically pull all images from that landing page, along with their associated destination links.
“I’ve worked with Canvas ads in the past and typically it has been a pretty manual process because you had to go in and add images for each carousel,” Jenny Broekemeier, Social Marketing Manager at CPC Strategy.
“But now, once you put in the URL, it automatically pulls the images that you want to use from the landing page. This definitely makes it a little bit easier to create those Canvas ads.”
“It also makes it more accessible to the masses, Sarah Rogers, Manager, Performance Social at CPC Strategy adds.
“When Canvas first rolled out it was a huge production process and at the time only Fortune 500 companies were really using it. But with this added feature, it makes it a lot more accessible to other advertisers.”

Fast (Canvas loads quickly, as much as 10 times faster than the standard mobile web), seamless and available only on mobile, it’s a great way to engage customers and get them excited about what you have to offer.
