Google search ad spending growth remained above pre-pandemic levels in Q3 2021, but advertisers are finding that higher average cost per click is driving the bulk of their investment increase. While weaker competition helped push down click costs in early 2020, Google CPCs are now significantly outpacing 2019 levels.
